The NVIDIA GTC 2018 conference featured millions of dollars of super computers on the show floor, with this video showing about half-a-million dollars worth of systems. We get hands-on with a custom EK watercooling loop for 4x Tesla V100 compute cards, but also get a closer look at the DGX-2, a $400,000 supercomputer with 16x V100 GPUs, 512GB HBM2, and 1.5TB of system memory. This is more in-depth than our previous video, and also allows us to talk about what that metal mesh front actually does for air intake.
There were no announcements of NVIDIA’s rumored Turing or Ampere GPUs or video cards while at the show, but a few buffs for the Volta architecture-enabled cards.
