Hardware for Architecture – Computer Setup From A Student To Professional – Personal Experience

Posted on Apr 3 2018 - 6:33pm by Techy Hints

My experience as a student to a professional.
From a laptop to a portable desktop that is capable of a lot of things.
Don’t buy the best stuff on the market, you need to think of the best value!
Current build is for SketchUp, Revit, V-Ray, Microsoft Mixed Reality and Enscape

Dell XPS M1330, Geforce GTX 460, Dell XPS 8500, Geforce GTX 750 Ti, Fractal Design Node 202, GTX 970, and ongoing upgrades.

I am always interested in the best money to performance setups to an architectural professional for my normal architectural designs, 3D modeling, content creation, visualization, and VR.

Here is where I was, and what I did, and where I am now.
This is not a guide, but my personal experience in hardware upgrades and the reasons behind.

Hope you find it useful!
