Like the prior Moto X phones this one is not the best performer in the line. That honor goes to the Moto Z2 Force phone we looked at a few weeks ago. But this phone also costs half of the Z2 force if not more!

Unfortunately the X4 is not compatible with the Moto Mods that are available for their higher end phones.

Build quality is excellent although you’ll want a case for it. The back and front of the phone are made from glass. There are three distinct cameras on board, with two on the back and a high resolution 16 megapixel selfie sensor on the front. I found the portrait mode to work quite nicely with the right conditions.

All in this is a decent phone for a decent price especially if you buy it from Amazon.
